The Westin, did you get a good rate? Wasn't this where Richard and Sarah stayed last time?

It is indeed the hotel that Sarah and I used last year. It's very well located, and with a little push they understood the point of having a SPG card and gave us a nice suite.

If you chaps want a room there, then let me know and I can PM you the rate code - the rate I get is $173+tax/nt.

Sarah and I have already blocked a room off for Friday and Saturday night as we should be attending, but will have to fly home on the Sunday as we have work commitments the following week [:#]

Thanks,
Richard

Are we going to plan a dinner night again?

If so we may have issues with me attending if it is late in the week [:#]

My assistant will still be out and I have to work wed - fri night[B)]

Also Pete, Jenn was wondering if you and Marcus could act as escorts for her for Spamalot?

Dave,

Tell Jen it's a date. We're probably getting into Vegas on Friday 16th, so any date up until the following Thursday is fine with us.

Dinner would be good, although I have a suspicion the Mannions won't be rolling into town until quite late in the week as they have this thing called "holiday allowance" to worry about. As GJ would say, it's the scourge of the working classes.

If there's only a handful of us, then perhaps a nosh-up mid-strip at one of the fancier hotels?

Well if there is only going to be a handful of us I am sure I can work out something very nice, the big trick is getting Paul out here so I can put it on his expense account [y][oo]......[:w]

Jenn told...very happy to say the least.

You mean Friday 9th, surely?

Nosh-up mid strip at a fancier hotel sounds good to me. Odeta and I get into Vegas very late on Tuesday 13th, so could we say Wednesday night for the nosh up?

Rate on SPG.com for a Deluxe King room at the Westin is $239 on average so your rate looks good Richard. I recall you having some complaint about your stay there though? Bizarrely, I recall you ssying something as we were queuing at SFO in the UC queue. I have no idea how I can remember such detail!

Circo, Bellagio [y]

NOT expensive, bloody good food, great wine list, good view of the fountains (it's on the lake)

Think Dave was saying above that he has to work on the Wednesday, but no reason why Dave, Jenn, Marcus, me and anyone in town early couldn't have a meal early in the week, and we can still gather sans-Ware on Thursday when Lord & Lady M. fly in on their private jet?

Sounds spiffing.

Any thoughts on the Friday flight to SFO?

Chuck-

Will you be able to make it this year Chuck ?

Would much enjoy it, Dave. Will all depend on the timing; a weekend visit would work well for me, most likely.

Been holding out hope that Virgin America might be flying. It's a long shot, as they're saying the LAX, LAS, etc routes will be online within 9 months of start of operations. If they get airborne in August, that could mean April 2008 [:(] - but I have my fingers crossed, and there's enough flights that leaving it till pretty late won't be a big issue.

Flights with US Airways/America West are coming in at about $100, which sounds pretty standard, so I'm not that compelled to book in advance yet; but I'll keep an eye on it.

For reference guys, G seats to LAS on the 12th and G from SF on the 19th are zero, nada, nill, out, 0, nothing.

(Even via SF on the outbound, still a blank)

If the flight from 2005 is anything to go by, several Gs magically appeared a few months before. In the end I think I counted about 12 on that VS20.

I am sorry but I am going to have to bow out this time round[:#][:#][:#]

Mrs Buns has only a small window to take an autumn break this year and has to be back in the office by 12 November, so we will be in the US for the first part of the month an unable to stay on to get to Vegas whilst you are all there[n]

I will really miss the party bus coming back from SFO - have fun guys, make sure one person stays sober to file a TR[}:)][}:)]

... and now I'm booked on the 2.15pm flight from LAS > SFO on the 16th. First Class is just $199 (£100 at the current rates!), and coach only $79. Bargain.
