This topic is here as a place marker for posts during or after the party.

May I start by saying a big thank you to all V-Flyers who turned up and made the 2007 RBS the best ever! [^]

Looks like I'm the first to surface......

I had a fantastic day and evening with everyone and a big thank you for making me, a social first-timer, feel very welcome. I was lovely (;)) to finally meet so many characters in the flesh as it were.

I have photos (thanks Pete...[y]) and they will be available as soon as I can do something with them. Hopefully a few by this evening are now on my Flickr site at RBS 2007.

A big Thank You to Bazz for organising the evening. Top man [^]

I'm looking forward to seeing you all again at another social event or in the Clubhouse.

Just arrived home, had a great time it really was a FUN night and great to meet with everyone, just wished I went to bed a little earlier than I did! [:$]

A big thanks to Bazz for organising it, the boat was great as was the food! Also to Nottingham Nick for arranging the raffle!

I will be posting my pictures on here as well as on my flickr account.

RBS 2007 lived up to expectations[y][y]

Congregation of V-Flyers commenced during the early afternoon at the tried and tested Thames Hotel and it was great to meet up with old and new friends. A special welcome to Darren who found that V-flyers are just as social (if not more when it comes to the true social bit;)) as is found on the site.

As the afternoon wore on, the enclaves of V-flyers grew and talked of past and future flying plans and of how to make the most of the sales that are currently available. All too quickly, the boat had arrived and we made our way to embarkation (no security here) and the social intercourse continued. Not before Chuck's kind gift of a travel organiser pack was distributed to everyone. Thanks Chuck for such a useful gift.

I am sure it was not just me, but I really did think the entire evening proved that through the common interest of flying with VS, a group of people from differing backgrounds all got together to have a really great time - a big thank you to Bazz for using his contacts to provide this great opportunity to socialise[oo]

Whilst the draft beer may have run out, it did not stop all of us having enough to eat and drink and the time flew by as we made our way on an unusually fine summer's evening down to Windsor. For the very first time I noticed that we passed the Bray Studios, home of the Hammer Horror movies of the 60's.

The raffle organised by Nick made sure no-one went away empty handed and some of the prizes that some had derided beforehand were hotly contested and gratefully received[:w]

The boat docked at midnight and the festivities resumed at the bar of the Thames Hotel. Mrs buns and I made an early departure and I am sure many more adventures ensued[}:)]

Thanks once again to Bazz, Chuck, Nick and everyone who was there for making it a brilliant evening that Mrs Buns and I thoroughly enjoyed

Just got back to a rainy Nottinghamshire after our brief sojourn in the sunny, temperate South. [8D];)

Thanks to everyone one who attended, and made it another great night - it was especially nice to see some new faces. I hope you all enjoyed it, and will make V-Flyer socials a regular date in your social calenders. :D

A big thanks, as always to Bazz, for his organisational skills and making sure it all ran smoothly, both at the hotel and on the boat. Thanks to Chuck for donating the amenity kits - Chris will be taking his to Iceland.

A massive thank you to all of the generous donors who gave such fabulous prizes at short notice. And, of course, to everyone who bought tickets. The final total was £200 raised, all of which will be ploughed back into V-Flyer. Thanks one and all. [oo]

Well what can I say...yet another fabulous "do", thanks to Bazz and everyone involved in making it happen. Just feeling a tad fuzzy today, can't think why [:0] Dom/Dave - we lasted no more than 5 mins in Habitat en route home this morning!

Hope to see you all really soon,

Another fun do and once again a chance to close out the bar! Thanks to everyone for providing such great and entertaining company. As everyone has commented thanks to Barry for organising the bash in the first place, Nick for his sterling raffle skills, Buns for his magical social circulating skills, Chuck for the travel wallets (now I too can feel like an American tourist :)), Paul for insulting BOTH of my shirts - sheesh and anyone else who knows me... oh sorry, wrong speech....

Looking forward to the next social event - anyone feel up to organising a Manchester picnic? OR want to join me at Dean Friedman in Liverpool next Saturday? :).

Oh yes, and God for holding the rain off until the end for once...

Thanks for the link[y][y]

That sky last night was brilliant, so thanks for taking the photos and sharing them with us all.

As a newcomer to the socials, I hope you found us all a welcoming bunch with not an anorak or notebook in sight[:w][:w]

Well sorry I couldn't be there, but by reading the thread, looking at the pictures and swapping several text messages all night looks like its was a usual stellar evening.

Hope you all had fun!!

To get into the party spirit, at this end I was gorging on Tapas (mummy Wolves and brother wlves were at some Brish bar), getting drunk on 90 cents a glass vino rojo and cava muscatel and dancing in my flip flops in some club till 4 in the morning :)

Looking forward to the next v-flyer gatherng which hopefully I'll be able to make.

Cheers!

...why did I think of the freezer shop? I guess I have food on the brain!

I had a great day, good to catch up with everyone, and meet some new faces too.

I'll leave you with one final thought...

V-Flyer Membership: £14.99
Boat Ticket: £40
Raffle Ticket: £5
Picture of Chuck with a knotted cloth on his head... Priceless.

I can place that - it was 2:15am, after I'd walked to the garage to buy pringles (post Richard's failed Dominos attempt [:w])

Thanks to all my friends old and new for a truly wonderful evening, and to our V-Flyer volunteer mods Barry and Nick for the excellent organization.

Now to begin the task of denying any resemblance to the person in those curious photos of napkin worn as hat.
