Unfortunately VSNorwalk has emailed me to say they have to attend a wedding on the 25th which he had overlooked so they now will not be able to come [:(]

Still no news from Dougie, he hasn't visited v-flyer since 27/07 which is three weeks today? Assuming Dougie and Mrs Dougie are still okay, current numbers are back to 15. I will (yet again) adjust the price to compensate. Now looking like 67.19 per head.

Still awaiting deposit/payment from

Nottingham Nick
RichardMannion
Pegitt
and Dougie

Richard, now you have the room rates do you need a room?

This stinks. I was looking forward to the Thames adventure and meeting everyone. Will anyone V-flyers be in London during the 20-23rd of September. If so, lets meet up!

Never mind Patrick, I'm sure you will make the next one. I missed the first one due to pre-booked vacation, so it happens to all of us at some time. Not in London myself that weekend.

buns, I would love to meet up if you have the chance. I am going to the low cost world airlines meeting at the QE 11 center. Is that on the outskirts of London?

D*mn! I was holding off committing myself and son (an equally dedicated VS afficianado) as I knew there was a family wedding looming. The invites arrived yesterday. It's for the 25th [:(!]

Maybe next time. [:(]

Sorry I haven't replied on here earlier, but fully booked on weekend of 25th already.

However I'm never one to turn down a couple of beers in London, sometime after work the week before would be good.

Jonathan, I'm city as well, fancy sharing a cab?

Would also love to be there Bazz but a small matter of a honeymoon in ANU coincides. I don't think the new Mrs F would appreciate a change in plans. maybe next one. Have a good time.

Forgot to inquire regarding directions to the vessel, from London. I am currently struggling with a jury duty 'invitation' that coincides with our event. If I can postpone the jury duty I'll be with you on 9/25 and will likely be staying in London.

What is the best way from, say, Hyde Park area to Maidenhead? And when we return from the cruise, the best way to return to London?

Thanks to all and hope to see you next week! Regards, Chuck-

Chuck

Seems like there's a fast (i.e. non-stop) train from London Paddington up to Maidenhead - that's probably the best way up. But, it looks like the last return to London is at 0015hrs - I'd give serious consideration to staying in the hotel and propping up the bar with us [;)]

Check out http://www.thetrainline.com for times, prices, etc...

As far as the vessel location, I dunno - think we'd all need directions for that [:D]

Oh, and BTW, as per the last Social, I think we should meet early-ish in the hotel bar (is anyone surprised by this? [;)])

Hi guys,

Still struggling with this darn LodgeNet so just a quicky, The best place to meet is indeed the Thames Hotel bar, we will board just across the road from the hotel so no need to travel.

Chuck, if you decide to stop over please let me know.
