My BA flight get's into LGW at 11:35. Then jumping on a Virgin train at 12:38(ish) to arrive at Brighton station at 13:15(ish). I beleive the Hilton is about 10 mins from the station so I guess I'll be checking in around 13:45(ish) with my Gold HH card in my hand as well [:D]

According to this page, check-in time is 1500hrs - I'll probably arrive around 1330hrs (and like James, with HH Au card in hand [:D] - not that it'll do us much good with the Diamonds around [;)])....

BTW, need I point out that we need somewhere to view the 8th fixture on this list? [:D]

Cheers

I'm hoping I'm over a mild bout of jetlag and some bug I've managed to pick up off the plane, but otherwise looking forward to it. I should imagine they'll have blue drinks (what good hotel bar wouldn't? [:D]) - but 11pm's a little early don'tchathink? [;)]

Just had to cancel this evening's booking - something has come up so we'll be going down tomorrow. Amusingly the Diamond line who did the cancellation said 'Oh we'll just cancel the entire thing and rebook you - we have a rate of 89 a night...[:D]

Heading off to Brighton shortly. I was born and raised in Brighton (well, Hove, actually[;)]) so will be spending the day with the family but expect to arrive at the hotel around 5.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Just a post event follow up to apologise to the appropriate people [}:)].

Turned up at the hotel around 15:00 to find MCuth checking in. Pix and Mitchja were already ensconced in the bar. Checked out the room briefly before joining everyone in the bar. Turned out we'd all been upgraded to a better room! Service was interesting though thankfully not a foretaste of things to come. Rather than post a blow by blow account of every arrival and the evening rollout I'll just say the party was a blast and the company was, without exception, charming and very agreeable. I think rolling into bed at 05:30 wins us (MCuth, Pegitt Mrs D and I - along with some charming comedy writers for Bill Bailey playing the Comedy Festival) the longevity prize if nothing else so sorry for missing everyone at Breakfast!

Everyone we met from VH were fantastic and the fact that senior management took time out to make themselves known to V-Flyer bods was really appreciated. Sarah ensured everyone had a fantastic time and the band and casino kept everyone entertained until the small hours.

A few shoutouts seem appropriate (with forum names being used to protect the innocent :)).

Bazz & Birkin - thanks for being there to document - and congratulations on many years of wedded bliss!

Pix - thanks for your help with the PostIts [;)]

Mitchja - Good to see you again!

MCuth - you were a great sport - thanks mate! And you wore the PostIts so well![;)] But lose the marrying horses fixation OK? [:D]

Jonathan + 1 - hiya + 1! Good to see you again and you were great fun! Jonathan - fie on you for discovering the PostIt so quickly [;)]

Buns4vs & Mrs Buns - If it were physically possible you would both be gentlemen and scholars. As it is not, just respect for being so comprehensively nice!

Pegitt - Shame about the early start. Even more shame it woke Michael [:)]

RichardMannion + 1 - Thanks for tolerating the sheer volume of good natured abuse from me. +1 on the bright side now you've been interrogated by me in post prandial mode you should be able to deal with anything!

Decker & Mrs Decker - Mrs D rocks [:)]

LukeW & Mrs LukeW - so enjoyed chatting to you. More nice people - where do we get them all from?

iforres1 & Mrs iforres1 - thanks for the drinks [y]. And congratulations +1 has to win award for cutest attendee of the night!

Ian and Mrs Ian - sorry not to have had more chance to chat - the call of the PostIts don't you know?!

preiffer - sadly missed.

And to all our drinking and chatting companions from VH staff and clientele - thanks for making it such a memorable evening!

Now where did I put that Resolve?...

I'll echo everything that Decker said - fantastic afternoon & evening (even if there was no telly in the bar to watch the football, which actually wasn't a bad thing after all [:D]), wonderful company without exception, and great to see old friends and meet new ones too [;)] My God was I wrecked though!

Great night last night. Thanks to all concerned for putting on an excellent evening's entertainment and particularly to Bazz for liaising with the VH FV club on our behalf.

We made it to bed around 1.30 am before the drinks turned blue[;)] We weren't too perky this morning (that last glass of wine must have been off) so can't imagine how bad the late finishers must feel.

Great to see everyone again; just sorry we can't make Vegas.

Mcuth (and everyone) I didn't go to Majorca in the end, but forgot about your bash until about 2230 last night when i was participating in Test the Nation (I got 50). I got an urge to come down but was in jeans and t shirt and judging by the photos was not appropriately dressed! However looking at the photos I really wish I had gatecrashed now. It sounds like you had a great night, am gutted I missed it!!

Lots of love to you all

ps Brighton was lovely today, hope you all got a walk along the seafront, if only to blow the cobwebs away!

Thanks for the kind words guys, it was a pleasure being able to coordinate something that everyone so obviously enjoyed, Birkin and I included.

It really was a great night, didn't manage to win the two UC tickets but what the heck [;)] had a fantastic evening sitting next to LRoM and the new Lady of Mannion [:p][}:)][:o)]

Great meeting up with so many friends and to meeting the VH staff and the senior managers who, as Decker says, took time out to speak with us at some length, v-flyer rocks [y]

BIG BIG THANK YOU to Sarah (Sarz) for putting together such a great party and thanks also to Sara and Karen for your help in making it all happen. Oh, and to the two jesters, '...Pistols at dawn' like heck, we were still up, well almost - where were you? [;)]

Finally big thanks also to Pete because without this site we would never have met so many new friends and we would not have been there last night [y]
