That seems like a close result to me - I'm thinking more like an innings and 150 runs [:D]

The Thames Hotel does have a TV in the bar during major sporting events, I will ask that it be there for the 23rd.

Looking at the long range weather forecast, we seem to be in for fine settled weather next weekend. Although it is still longrange, so pretty unreliable, I will get my shorts cleaned (assuming we are allowed shorts on the boat).

Well fellow v-flyers and honoured guests, only a few days to go to 'cast off'.

Due to last minute changes, we are back aboard the Southern Comfort, themed along the lines of a Mississippi Stern Wheeler. This means we would still like a few more of you to join in the fun! There is plenty of space aboard and a lovely promenade deck from which to view the sights and sounds of the Thames. [8D]

The weather forecast is still looking good so we should have a great evening, there is also plenty of room below deck so in the unlikely event of a shower we will still be able to enjoy ourselves, well the bar is below deck [;)]

So will all those of you with nothing planned for this coming weekend post below and come along, it is only 45.00 including buffet and you will meet some fellow v-flyers and, if last year trip is anything to go by, you will have a great time.[:D]

There are still rooms available at the special v-flyer rate at the Thames Hotel just a few yards from our pick-up and drop-off point, we have a late bar extension and a TV for the first Ashes Test Match in the afternoon for those early arrivals; so what are you waiting for...

...all you have to do is turn up and enjoy yourself, what could be easier... go on, spoil yourself, you know you deserve it! [y][y][y]

Hope the weather holds out and look forward to seeing the TR's and pics[:D]

While I will leave it to others to report on proceedings, I think it safe to say that a good time was had by all. So thank you Bazz for organising such a fun time for us all.

Thanks Bazz, Chris and I had a great time. The hotel and boat were cracking value for money and it was good to meet a few of the characters that help make this site what it is. I am seeing on the news that the red cross are sending emergency supplies of beer to Maidenhead following Michaels visit. Once again thanks to everyone for making it a night to remember.

Another successful V-Flyer Social, and thanks to Bazz for putting the whole thing together.

I think it's appropriate that I place it on record that I was still sitting in the bar area as M.C.Uth went off to bed.

A tremendous evening - thanks to Bazz for his fantastic organising skills once again, and thanks to those that took part for making it another successful social event. Good to see the usual suspects, and very nice to meet new faces [:)]

Unfortunately, pictures are starting to appear in the people section of the Photo Gallery - although you should be warned that some should carry a health warning (man, I don't remember half of them!) [;)]

Hmmmmmph, but at least I wasn't the first to retire [:p] - and I did start a little earlier than everyone else [;)]

Cheers

Great pictures! To a person there's nothing but smiles and laughter. Thank you, Barry, for your organizing. Just sorry I couldn't be there with you.

This definitely gives us a glimpse of how LAS might turn out!
