A forum for discussion of Social Activities

I thought the Eurostar was one of my fave socials, indeed someone commented on my Facebook photos that so few were taken in Paris and so many on the train. Sums it up really.

I would happily do another train somewhere, be it there and back in a day, an over night to somewhere exotic [:D] and even fly back with a cheap one way fare.

I think having somesort of dedicated carriage / compartment helps.

Not that fussed about anything too airliney (apart from a private jet of course).

Think a theme park is a brilliant idea however given that most socials occur over weekends, these are the busiest days at the parks - and neither Thorpe Park or Alton Towers offer 'front of line' passes.

I'll have to ask my neighbour who's job is sitting behind the control panel of Nemesis at Thorpe Park if he knows of any offers!

Jumbo Hostel

Sure it is not the Ritz BUT would be great fun. Sleep in the cockpit, bit of plane spotting oh and yea; drinking. We could even make a menu and plan activities during our 'flight'.

Drinking[:?][:?][:?] Isn't the price of booze in Sweden excessive[?]

I can just imagine the number of V-Flyers insisting to turn right[}:)][}:)]

Hmm booze could be quite expensive in Sweden. Honestly do not know. Could hit up duty free on the way out. [:?] Mixers could not be too bad.

Oh I imagine the demand for the cockpit suite would be fierce. Fun concept but doubt that it would happen. I might check it out.

To be fair to Sweden, when I was in Stockholm last year booze was no more expensive than a lot of pubs/clubs in London...

The cool show 'Lost' notwithstanding it's probably best that we drag this thread back on topic.[:D]
