Hello!
I was thinking that since quite a few of us work in various parts of London, it might be nice to meet up for a drink, once in a while. (Probably around payday)
If you think it's a good idea let me know, below.

Great idea, although these days I rarely seem to be able to leave work at a sensible time!

What is this 'payday' you talk of? Is that the day where the bank use me to store a few quid for the day, before taking it back.

Good idea - I've managed to miss all the socials somehow, so would be good to meet some folks from here.

Work in the city so most places accessible.

Assuming I'm around I'd be up for it.

I would enjoy the chance to meet up with some of you, I work shifts for London Underground at Baker Street and I live in SW London.

It's some way off - looking at calendars etc.
The first one could be Thursday, 4th October *or* Thursday, 1st November 2012. I know that seems very far off, but I know people's diaries get full very early!

I was pondering a pub or a bar and a location.

Victoria has come up several times in conversations as an easy place to get to and a lot of people commute home from there.

The pubs in the immediate vicinity are not great, and of course there's also the 'after work drinks' culture all over London which means pubs and bars can be packed. That said, did find a lovely cocktail bar called Zander.

And get this - they have a Cocktail Club, with the following Cocktails at £4.25 every day from 4.00pm.

01 Nov works for me as I don't have to work that day or the next then off to Vegas on the Saturday.

1 November would work for me too

Years since I hae been there (so hopefully they won't remember me )

Ditto on the recce idea - mini pre meet up..

1st november should still be good for me although I am supposed to be on a training course out of town that day Will see closer to the time if that is still the case. Regardless should be able to get back to London a little later on.

Laphroaig welcome to the site and of course come along. Will be my first time, hopefully, meeting fellow v-flyers too
