Yeah somebody own up cos you're sat next to me :o)

probably some ordinary, unsuspecting, passenger thinking they will be in a nice seat near the front and will be able to have a relaxing flight whereas in reality they will be in the middle of a load of hung over v-flyers wearing identical polo shirts, taking lots of pictures and comparing luggage tags !

We're in 9D and 9F; just a bread roll away from the back of your head. :D

If they're VS bread rolls, I'd better wear a helmet :o) .

Slinky

Do bring a helmet as we never eat the VS bread rolls.

Good reminder NV.

I don't think we had this one buttoned up but after the recce of local hostelries turning up as not suitable, there was mention of drinks at on of the "on airport" bars?

Maybe we should have a vote on where we should gather?

Choices seem to be Raddisson or Hilton, unless there are any more ideas to throw into the mix?

If you all want to cast your votes, I can collate them and keep updating this thread... let me know.

True, but we do have to be up at the crack o' sparrow fart the next morning.....

However,

The Raddisson's Passe Partout Bar is open until 01:00 ...mmm... :?

Gets my vote - has a view too y) (even though I am at the Hilton)!

I've just had an email from Opodo. And I quote:

We have been contacted by the airline you have booked with concerning a change to your travel itinerary. Your revised travel itinerary is below.

DEPARTURE: 31 MAR 06:50 - MANCHESTER AIRPORT, TERMINAL: 3
ARRIVAL: 31 MAR 08:00 - HEATHROW, TERMINAL: 1
FLIGHT: VS 3046 - VIRGIN ATLANTIC

I kid you not. On the Virgin website my booking shows a departure of 0735.

Yep, same here. When I when into MMB, I had to acknowledge a time change. Then I got an email confirmation from VS and a new e-ticket.
At least it helps to make up for the clocks changing after what might end up being a late Saturday night / early Sunday morning finish..where-ever we end up.

There's barely any men going. ;-)

Am still thinking about this. We arrive at Manchester at roughly the same time give or take an hour or two. Check in to hotel. Do we want to spend the whole time at the airport?
The airline fan in me says yes, but with the caveat that since we are going all that way might be nice to venture outside the airport?

Then return to the airport for up to closing time.

I ask this because I received a few recommendations on another site for off-airport hostelries which might be good for dinner. These are just suggestions however

If this is what we do then, given the popularity of these hostelries, we should a least make them aware of our impending arrival so that we won't be disappointed and they don't get bad reviews from us .... After all no organisation likes to be inundated with demands without previous notice.

Sorry it's my customer service ethic coming out ii)

I scanned through again 'cos was keen to see who's attending, which hotel, and how getting there - feel free to update:

Darren Wheeler wrote:Who's coming - hotel - how getting to Manchester
Pete - Hilton - train
Buns - Hilton - BA
Sealink - Hilton - train
mitchja - Hilton
CHILL710 - Hilton
paulicklow +1 - Radisson Blu

paulie7 - Radisson Blu
jwhite9185 - Radisson Blu - BA
jfenney - Hilton - driving
cooperman - Hilton - driving
Slinky - Hilton - train
G-VROY +1 - Hilton - train
horburyflyer - Hilton
VegasFlyer - no hotel, meet at gate
NV43 and Starfish - Radisson Blu
Phoenix - flight only
Decker - Hilton
CO - Hilton

So that's five of us on the train so far and a clutch on BA! 12 at the Hilton and 5 at the Radisson. At least 22 on the flight.

I can still get T's if people want but will have to order today!!!
