Just received an email which says:

Your invitation to the inaugural Virgin Wines Wine Tasting

As a valued customer I'd like to invite you along to a very exciting new wine tasting event we're holding next month.

together over 120 wines for you (including some eye-wateringly expensive stuff). We're also flying in over 20 winemakers from around the world so you can talk to the people who actually make
what you drink.

* When? - Saturday 19th November 2005. Doors open at midday, and shut at 6pm. There is no limit to what or how much you try. We just want you to enjoy yourself.

* Where? - Chelsea, London.

Tickets for the show are for sale to the general riff raff for £40 a head - but as a valued customer, we have knocked 50% as a special treat.

Oooh - I got that too!!

6 hours to taste 120 wines from around the world? ... I like a challenge!! :D

I'd like to see the 'no limit to what or how much you try' policy tested too ;)

Maybe you have to spend a certain ammount to get the invite...not even free though...£20 !1 Would go for a try but have to work that day..

For those of us not going, any wines that Virgin do that are worth buying (preferably red)?

Would be nice to know from anyone going what turns out to be decent as well :)

Just a couple for starters:
Red: Penfolds Private Bin Shiraz Cabernet - have had a bottle tonight - emminently drinkable. Oh, and another bottle from tonight:

White: Belmonte Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc - very tasty [y]
