Ok folks - right now we have 15 confirmed tickets. If the total is below 20 (required for the group booking discount), then there is no point in buying the tickets centrally. If we get above 20, then, as per the PM I sent out, I have no problem in co-ordinating the ticket purchase.

So, I'm after confirmations (and numbers) from the following please:
Highflyer
ChuckC
onionz
Mr & Mrs Buns
mavrick
RichardMannion

Please confirm asap.

Once I have those and the final numbers, I can sort out the ticket purchase bit.

Cheers

Add me to the possibles list. As it stands now my family and I will make our way to England centered around Farnborough (on my request) and now that I know what date I want to go we might get things finalized. But as my dad got diagnosed with cancer in March it's still a little iffy. I'll discuss it with them ASAP.

Thanks Nick - sorry to hear about your Dad, will keep everything x'd for him. Please let me know asap, cos we're getting a bit too close to comfort for booking tickets as a group if we're going to do it.

Hear that everyone else I'm waiting for :D? I'm going to have to stick a time limit on now - you've got til 1900hrs on the day after my knee surgery to confirm - that's Wednesday 31st May - if you're not confirmed by then, it's every man/woman for themselves in the ticket race....

Michael,

Can you add me to the list for Saturday - it's probably 99% I can make it but I need to sort out our on-call rota for w/c 17 July (as someone inconveniently left our team!).

It's likely I won't know about the rota until after 31 May but you may as well use my cash to help with the group booking rate.

Cheers,

Sahajesh.

Thanks for that - we're now up to the magic 20 mark :)
Ok, later tonight I'll send out a PM to everyone confirmed & VS-EWR with the payment details. I think we'll have to move fairly quickly, but I did speak to FIA today to confirm that 20 tickets were still available.

I think I'll probably just have to get my own ticket at a later date if I end up going at all. Unfortunately we're a little unable to decide at this point in time whether we will be able to go to the UK during Farnborough because of circumstances beyond our control (not including the fact that we will be using BA miles, so the dates might be blacked out anyway).

I think some enquiries were made back on page 5&6 of the thread and there was nothing really available. As you can imagine the area is not hotel rich and the airshow really stretches things.

The best idea is to get a hotel somewhere on the rail route - The train from London Waterloo is as little as 35 minutes or you could stay a little further out and save time/money if you're not so interested in the sights.

Link to train timetable.

Not yet - but given that it starts at 0930hrs, I'm not sure how many would want to meet up at that time. On the other hand, there should be plenty of time to send tickets out beforehand (not yours, obviously ;))

Tickets have been purchased today and should be with me within a couple of days. I'll PM everyone as to whether you want to meet up or have me post out the tickets to you before the event - I'd suggest it's unlikely we'll get a common meeting time though!

Cheers
