I'm afraid due to the problems I explained in my other post, I will not be able to make it to Farnborough this year. It looks as though I will be travelling to England in late August, but obviously this is too late. Sorry folks, maybe next time.

That's a shame Nick - you'll at least have a couple of years to plan your attendance at the next one though ;)

Hope everything works out with your Dad.

Well I thought I might have been around to meet up with a few for a drink, but it seems I am being whisked off for a weekend away [8D]

Hope you all enjoy it and I will look forward to the feedback of all the stupidity and drunkenness on my return ;)

Damn, that's a shame Jacq - but lucky you getting a weekend away! :D

For the rest of you, I have 20 tickets in my hot sticky hands - if you haven't yet replied to the PM about whether you want to meet & pick up, or have them posted, please do so :)

Cheers

Event starts at 0930hrs - flying display starts at 1230hrs.

I suggest we have a group meeting at Meeting point 2 (purple dot with a 2 in it on the map) at around 12 noon - how does that sound to everyone?

Cheers

Michael

Looks good to me - unless we hit a problem we'll be there.

All

I've received news this morning that mavrick can't now make it - he has to be in New York on the 19th for an urgent design meeting and won't be back til the 24th.

To quote from his email:
"So I would like to offer my ticket free to anyone from V-Flyer who wants to go as it would be a shame to waste it. Please let me know if you want me to post it back to you or direct to whoever wants it and I'll even do guarantee next day delivery to make sure it gets there on time again."

So, if anyone would like to take up mavrick on his kind offer, please contact him directly via PM or email (link to profile here)

Cheers

Michael

Can't wait to meet up again[y][y]

A word of warning to those who might be thinking of using the railway - there is a planned strike and details of the impact on South West Trains are here

Those intending to use the roads might to leave a little earlier than planned if this strike takes off[:(!][:(!]

Darn. Strike that, double darn. Well I planned a Eurostar day trip to Brussels on the July 21. Just checked my email after reading your messgae Andy and had an email from Eurostar. Does not look good.

Well looks like I will be taking the bus from Heathrow...

[y] Thanks a bunch Andy :D

Here I am travelling on a train to Basingstoke and going through Farnborough - thinking, I wonder if I can see the tailfins of the planes, then lo and behold an A380 just taking off and exhibiting an aeronautical display almost right on top of me! She's certainly an agile beast ... despite all the talk, I'd love to see it in Virgin colours.

Hope you all get a great display when you visit later in the week!

Was looking forward to meeting all you lot on Saturday, but it seems events have conspired against me and I shan't be able to make it.

Have fun guys, I'll sure I'll get to a social one day! [:w]

Well thanks anyway. I booked my HEX and London General bus tickets a night or so a go. Many just take the train; easier and quicker really.
