I doubt it would be a a346 as the summer time is the most popular time for most destinations, just look on VS website on your dates and destination and it will say what the planned aircraft will be

Hi
thanks for the replies. The article suggests A340, though is that just on the 'extra' day of the Tuesdays? I was assured it will be A340 & I'm on the Thursday!
But the first reply says he has booked seats in the upper section of a B747....confusing!

All MAN-LAS flights between 23 July and 1 Sep are due to be operated by an A346.

rodert, who posted above, is flying later in September when they're back on the 747s.

Will be interesting to see how it works out. The A346 has far more UC seats than the 747 but far fewer economy seats. I suspect it's less about providing more UC capacity to LAS (where demand is probably lower in August) and more about freeing up a 747 to serve MCO during the peak summer holiday period.

I think you have nailed it with that conclusion Sir!
Either way I'm happy....
Used to fly with Virgin transatlantic regularly up until 2001, then had an 'issue' and moved over to other carriers.
First trip back with them MAN to LAS & then New Orleans to MAN via Atlanta back....but I've still to rde an A340!
So :D
