economy customers now getting water bottle on seat, hot towels after take off, small wine bottles, spirit minitures , cheese and crackers and a better afternoon tea on all flights.

Things just got a whole lot better for those travelling 'down the back'

In UC I've heard the afternoon tea trolley is going/has gone on the A340s, 747s and 787s (the A330s didn't have it anyway).

The trolley is not got going anywhere. :-)

The CC were talking about this on the VS25 on Friday evening. The small bottles of "one" water are cute and they were talking positively about these changes. I also understand chocolate(s) will be offered with the tea/coffee service.

Only small enhancements but all positive additions, which is nice to hear after years of what seemed like reductions in the on board service.

Isn't it funny how just the smallest of things makes a massive difference when they add it - and also the same when they take it away.

Travelled on VS19 on 6 March - received all of the above except chocolates with tea but did also get a hot calzone (cheese or pepperoni) about an hour before tea.

All very nice

Maybe VS see an opportunity to snaffle a bit of BA's business from them following the widespread discontent arising from the recent BAEC changes.

All for a bit more competition here, even if only on a few LH routes...

Do they still do ice cream? I came out on vs75 in mid Feb in PE and there wasn't ice cream. Have I been deprived yet again? Will this give me a complex? Will I need medical help with this problem and have to claim on my travelinsurance? So many problems from one small change in service!!!

And PE becomes a little bit less different from economy... Same food, same bar service. Just got a thimble of sparkling wine and a better seat now. What are they going to "improve" next?
