Hi All,
I foolishly took a BA flight to NY, Broken seat back tv and disgusting meal [:(!]. Question: if I complain are they going to offer miles or better. I currently don't have a BA exec card.

Any one got any experience on this?.

HighFlyer: Thread moved to BA forum as topic is not regarding Virgin Atlantic

If you complain and you dont have an Exec Club account, after about the third or forth email, they will probably give you some Airmiles paper vouchers.

You wont get anything from your first email (and probably not the second one either) though and you certainly wont get any money back!!!

After my last flight, I sent some comments from their web site about the flight, and received a call to discuss it and some miles, about three weeks later. Much better service than VS I felt. VS just send a standard letter and some miles and hope you go away.

I wouldnt hold out for much as BA dont seem to be particularly keen on dishing out the miles. [:D]

Thanks,

If you are not an exec member they will probably send you a BA travel voucher but if you join up you will get some BA miles. I had a minor issue with a flight recently (I was travelling in FIRST from JoBurg to London)- I didnt even complain in writing to the Premier team but the cabin crew had made a note and I got a credit of 25k BA miles plus a letter which arrived yesterday.

Fingers crossed for you, BA do seem to like feedback at the moment but dont expect a reply for around 3 weeks. Not sure what you might receive for your issues but you certainly have nothing to loose in sending in an email or on line comment via BA.com.

Join the BAEC if you want some miles. 25K miles will get you a return upgrade from WT+ to CW. Sample dates in November come out at £710 + 25000 miles. With Virgin an upgrade would cost about £1200 + 40000 miles.

Upgrading with BA miles seems a lot better value.

Dont get your hopes up!!!

If you do get do join Exec Club and get miles, you wont get anywhere near 25K.

5K or maybe a bit more at best been a blue member.

BA have a similar system as VS and most other airlines, where they base their miles compensation levels on cabin flown/fare type & FF status.

You will most probably only get some onboard highlife shopping vouchers even if you join BAEC you will only be blue. They have been pretty generous dishing out miles to me and mrs JP as said earlier phone call and resolution quickly after sending feeback through BA.com,but we both hold Au status.

I'm blue, having only flown to Nice previously on BAa few years ago, and got 25K miles after issues on my last flight with the entertainment system.
