I am flying on a sponsored ticket LHR-CPT in Y with BA soon, does anyone know the best seat for a single pax? I've looked on seatguru and dont know what seats are able to be prebooked on OLCI or the best one to coose.
Thanks
adb

Hi adb, and welcome. [y]
As you can probably tell, this is a predominantly 'Virgin Atlantic centric' site, and as such all topics that don't relate to Virgin directly are typically stored in their own area. With that in mind, I'll move this to the BA forum where other members may be able to assist.
PS - You *might* want to see if you get any further feedback to the same question
by posting it on the BA section of FlyerTalk, too [;)]

I have never seen blocked out seat at OLCI, i would suggest rows 51-52 B,C,H,J as there are only 2 seats in these rows rather than the normal 3. You will be last off the aircraft but comfort is more important to me than speed.
I would suggest looking at

Have a good trip

Depends on the config of B744 that BA are using on the CPT route... if it is the config with 52 Club Class seats, then the best Economy seats for a single traveller have to be 29 A&K.
Row 28 is the exit row [with associated legroom], however, seats 28 A&K do not exist, as the evacuation slide would eat up half of their legroom [Virgin Atlantic - take note!] As such, in 29 A/K, you get a vast amount of legroom as there is no seat in front of you & you can still get easy access out of your seat to the toilets by just getting up and walking out in front of your seat.
A colleague at work has bagged 29 A/K on this BA config bang on when OLCI opens (assume 24hrs before the flight) on many an occasion (this was on the London - HKG route mind).
Thanks
James
