I really do wish they would show something rather than the little glimpses they are giving now.

Exactly the same crossed my mind!
At least the telly looks to be a half decent size, but still quite away from those monsters on SQ F/Suites.

It does look nice, but there's not much there that strikes me as particularly innovative, it looks more like an update to what was already there.
I still wouldn't mind sitting there for several hours though being waited on hand and foot.
Cheers, H

It looks lovely.
I don't think it needs to be truly innovative, although the window arrangement may make a big difference to the cabin environment. But what it has to do is deliver a very high quality experience with space and comfort to match. Get the details right, and deliver the customer service experience to match and first remains very desirable.
Over at VS, the UCS was a real innovation - IMO it does not need to be replaced with anything different, but more of replacement with an upgrade. Improve the quality, fix the silly light for example, improve the space on Airbuses, put a better mattress in, all minor tweaks without radical redesign and it returns to being a top quality J experience. Sort of like NNCW (although to me that sometimes is an inferior upgrade).

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/travel ... 007869.eceAn interesting look at the new First product. I have to say I am looking forward to seeing it at a pre-view this week and it sems to suit me more than some 'bling' First products around. (just skip/speed read the front bit about new 'cattle' class already reported in Business Traveller)

Was at the Business Travel and meetings show a couple of days ago and there was talk that they may have had a mock-up of the cabin there before the event as they were the main sponsor but alas no....
Will need to pick a pocket or two to see it in the flesh!

Looks good to me. They have kept the same basic seat shape, I guess, because it gave a good balance of privacy and accessibility. Innovative use of the space too, such as the wardrobe in the back of the shell of the seat in front.
Nice touch to have a 'non-spotlight' type light, in case you just want a bit of dim light to eat or use your laptop by, and don't need bright white light.
Ditto Slinky's comments about the UCS. Good basic product, but could use a refresh in the areas indicated - add the positioning of the cocktail table as well. It's in a much more useful place on AC!

It has had some nice reviews from those that have flowin ot over on FT. Also those who have seen it in the CCR say it is good.
The table is now huge and very firm. The 15' TV is supposed to appear very large as it is quite close.
While it will never be as bling as EK I hope ti serves them well.
