Overnight at LHR

I frequently overnight at LHR to connect with VS flights but I am always on a separate ticket and PNR so have to collect and re-check my bags the following day. That is not a problem. However I have booked a through ticket on BA which will entail an overnight stay in LHR for an early morning onward flight.

I am well aware that Aer Lingus will check passengers through on BA flights and issue boarding cards for same day flights but I wonder if anyone knows if this will happen for my flight or will I have to collect and re-check my bags the next day at LHR?

It's allowed at LHR - I've been doing it with *A connections and very nice it is, too :)

Not sure what the policy for Aer Lingus is, tho', probably have to call them and ask.

Hi HL

I am doing that this Saturday from GLA connecting with BA flight on Sunday morning to BEG and I know I can book my case straight through without problem. Is that what you are asking or are you quering about the EI ruling? Sorry for being thick.

Yes to both questions but it's mainly to know if it can be booked straight through.

I'll be in LHR on Sunday for VS19. What time is your flight?

I am out of T5 at 08.20am, but myself and Irina are staying in the Sofitel at T5 on Saturday night.

I'm staying at the Sheraton (not the Skyline, the one on the Colnbrook Bypass) courtesy of Priceline on Saturday night
