Gatwick to Barbados, what to expect

My husband and a friend are flying out to Barbados with BA and since we've only flown with Virgin in recent years he hasn't a clue what to expect. I note that they charge you to pre-book your seats so will definitely be waiting till online check in opens to do that! What is the 777 like? I'm presuming it's very similar to a 747? Is the entertainment system any good? Is it a similar thing to Virgin's supernova entertainment system? Or more like the superior V port system? Are the headphones rubbish? I always take my own noise-reducing ones, but he wants to travel light. Oh and to anyone who has flown the route recently did you get off at the front AND back of the plane? He would prefer to sit at the back but doesn't fancy being back of the queue in immigration. Thanks in advance x

Sorry, yes I do mean economy. They are on a free holiday though (won in a competition), so may be tempted to upgrade to world traveller plus. Would that be worth paying for in your opinion? And I will check out the link, thanks x

The WT+ product is just the same as economy but with slight;y larger seats. Same food, same service. You just get served first and get off the flight a bit quicker.
I'm pretty certain that all BA 777 have an AVOD style IFE.
I can't remember ever seeing stairs for disembarkation at the rear of the aircraft in BGI. Normally there are two sets used, one for the premium cabin and one for economy and WT+. I would certainly want to be sitting as far forward as possible as immigration can get very crowded, particularly if you end upp arriving just after the AC and AA flights.

Yeah I did think as much when I seen the list of whats on offer. I hate the loop system, I always end up watching the film thats shorter than the others, or think I have enough time to cram one more film in only for them to turn the system off an hour before we land! I did have a little smirk when he read the list of films and said they were rubbish. Me, bitter about being left at home with the kids? Never!!!
And thankyou Redvee and daharris x
