A new BA shareholder presentation gives lots of information about the IAG future plans.
New aircraft (9 A380s & 16 B787s by 2015), seating etc.

Some work for VS.

BA are definitely on the ascendent after a terrible stretch going back years.

Upping the stakes - considerably.

Perhaps they've caught on that they need to earn customers rather than relying on "we always fly BA...", as that wore rather thin over recent years.

My own experience on BA in Sept was very positive...

Good news in most ways, healthy competion in service as well as price means a better customer experience - usually, anyway!

Domestic routes will have virtually zero competition if IAG get hold of BMI.

The presentation showed BA already have 80% of the UK domestic market so this will be virtually 100% which is never a good thing.

Ah, domestic - yes that's very true especially if BMI slots etc go to BA.

I was focusing on the routes where VS compete....
