Another great advert. However the "Don't Fly" strapline at the end is a bit odd...!

I think that is fantastic and well done BA. Very imaginative and I love the social aspect.

Curiously, I have a recurring nightmare of boarding a plan that then takes to the road.

Think it makes sense as a brand positioning as provider of services *into* London and the association with a tourist's eye view of London. The "Don't Fly" bit reminds me of the Evening Standard's headline plea for Londoners to stay home and watch the games after months of articles detailing how you could make barrels of cash by renting your property out.
I presume someone will sue when they realise that face painting for children isn't a standard service provided by the cabin crew.

Dear Danny Boyle
I have an idea for a segment in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games for you ...

Great ad.
I also have a recurring dream that I'm on a plane driving round the roads - weird!
It's always VS though! ;-)

Oh weird, I often have the same nightmare prior to a long-haul flight.

I love the way you can add your post code and you see shots of the plan going down your street, fantastic.

Although taxiing at JFK often feels like you're being driven home.

True. On a flight from Paris to Southampton once I still believe we travelled further on the ground at CDG than we did in the air.

1. What about all the people who would get killed by the engines and the wings?
2. Traffic never runs that smoothly in London.
3. I still have no desire to fly BA or have anything to do with them!
(From the grumpy corner!)

Shame the makers of the advert couldn't use an aircraft in the BA fleet. The plane used is a 77L- an aircraft not in the fleet. Ok a minor point but annoying once you notice it. A bit like when G-VFAB got in the BA advert a couple of years ago!

Well it's not the only thing that doesn't exist... Much like that security post or something when the aircraft is leaving T5. Plus lone working isn't allowed. As you say, just little things, but it's fun to poke holes (apart from the obvious ones...)

Lovely ad, but think the "Don't Fly" message at the end is misguided, but again, more evidence that BA is "back"!

Hmm... Don't fly...
Much preferred the previous one (the baggage race).

I imagine only a particular type of person will let this bother them.

it definitely feels like that flying in to CDG especially when the taxiway at SOU is incredibly short.

Especially when the pilot practically has to do a 3-point-turn to come back down the runway.

In AMS it was like that also. We spent 20 minutes taxiing to the runway.

It's like that in Cork too

I like it at SOU when some of the small planes back off stand with no tug, awesome. Not many airports allow that.

The only time I experienced that was at DTW on a (now defunct) NorthWest flight. It was eerie the way the plane surged forward for an instant before it reversed
