Interestingly I've been renewed as Silver despite having no where near enough Tier Points. Has anyone else had this happen?

Not that I am complaining of course

I was a couple of points off last year and got renewed....however this year I only took one revenue fare so only had 6 points and I have a note saying that my membership number has changed . Of course on 'my account' it still states Silver Member

I thought BA didn't change your membership number when you changed tiers....
