Advance passenger info timing

Trying to input my API, ahead of a BA flight in a few weeks’ time. Each time I hit submit, I get an error message (have checked and checked, all my info is correct, nothing omitted). Is this a timing issue, am I doing this too soon? I wasn’t aware you could do this too soon, but perhaps my memory is playing tricks. Can anyone shed light please?!
