Anyone else having problems viewing V-Flyer using IE7 this morning. Using beta 3 here.
No problems yesterday but this morning it's a nightmare. It's taking an age to load the forum pages. Even then they arnt loading properly. I've switched off the phishing filter which I thought might be the problem but that doesn't seem to have made much difference.
Currently using Firefox (which I dont like) to post this message.
Edit - this message has taken quite a while to post even using Firefox.
Regards[:?]
Edit to thread title by mod to reflect the major issues we have been having .... Nick

IE wont even load the V-Flyer front page now. Firefox is not much quicker at the moment either [:?]
Glad it's not just me though
Also now getting this error when trying to post:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'
Script timed out
/forum/post_info.asp
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

Same problem here with Firefox, its taking forever to load pages etc which is sooo annoying, thought it was our rubbish internet access (stupid Karoo) but seems a few people having this prob so maybe not.

It just took forever for me to load the front page and forum pages using Firefox. I got the Unavailable page a couple times as well.

Concur with the above - the main page took an age to load up just now when I loged in and now topics are behaving in the same way!

I think I found the source.I think something should be done. Not only is credit not being given to Tinkerbelle, but it's probably using up our bandwidth as it's being hotlinked.

Aha, I was just about to ask the same question about V-flyer being sluggish. I use IE6 (I think) - and first noticed the site running ever-so-slowly yesterday afternoon. Thought it might be down to increased traffic, as happens at times, but it's just as bad this morning. Am not having any trouble with other sites....[:0]

Good digging, Nick - I'm sure that won't have helped.
Let's see if that photo name (of the new seats) can't be de-leeched....

Maybe we need to make photos accessable to registered members only. Potentially we could make them accessable to paid members only, perhaps making the photo forum a subset of the clubhouse.
BTW Paul. I see you have edited the photo. However the site is still running "real laid back and easy" for me. Clicking on the link above it still goes through to the photo too. So not sure you broke the link.

Deep breaths Neil, deep breaths. If you still have the symptoms, try putting on a flyerette patch.

Yeah - I noticed that, Jeremy.
I deleted the original from the DB, but I think the image itself (which is what is directly hotlinked to) still remains.
I've asked Pete to purge it, if possible.
Having said that, while it won't help, I can't believe that's the cause of the problem. The site's still ridiculously slow today - and was last night with no users on it, too. Not sure what the issue could be... [:?]

If others are loading the page in a-net, would they not be using up system resources with out showing on here as guests?

I've reported in to the ISP, so a server restart may potentially help.

It is like a nicorette patch, but helps one get over the additction to v-flyer ranther than nicoteen. You stick one on your thigh before bed.
