Suggestion for new topic

On my most recent trip to the US I followed up on a suggestion somewhere in this site that I stumbeld across by accident, that there was a particuluarly good place to kill time at Charlotte Airport, and also where to find free wifi access. These recommendations turned out to be brilliant, and the info was spread around, and not easy to otherwise find.

It would seem useful to dedicate a topic to "Airports", and to have threads for individual airports etc., recommendations for bars/restaurants, good viewing points, wifi access, quiet security gates etc etc. one thread per airport.

We're all probably familiar with certain airports; lets share the knowledge in a structured manner?[y]

Topic moved to V-Flyer website forum by mod... Nick

Would certainly be a good resource for VS specific airports (for now). I'd particularly be interested in sources of *free* wi-fi (tried and tested). If we can get something more comprehensive, these could be good appendages to the new V-Book actually!

Thanks,
Sarah

Might be interested in this item and this one too - in terms of Boston, Sarah... ;)

Ah, we flew home from JFK and had a mass V-Flyer leeching from various other lounges while sat in the lovely JFK CH :D Why oh why VS cant get free Wi-fi in all their CH's when lesser airlines manage it quite well i dont know.

Thanks for the links though, always good to find free internet sources while roaming :)

Thanks,
Sarah

I Agree with the earlier suggestion; why don't we have a thread for each airport that VAA fly to, and try and keep the replies on-topic:D, short:) and up to date[}:)]?

Cheers.

If the other mods agree, i'll happily stick a section into the FAQ to cover this? Would be a lot tidier than seperate threads and would also enforce a degree of accuracy and stop other members asking questions or debating topics in those threads?

Thanks,
Sarah

Glad it helped.

Maybe even combine this with the hotel/restaurant reviews in the 'hotel and dining reviews' section of VF (be it not active).

I wonder if that might make the FAQs a little unwieldy? Perhaps it might be better adding a new section to "reviews" and then folks can add their own reviews & tips....

Cheers

This is sort of what I had in mind - a section in Reviews called airports, then a thread for each airport, with the replies for each thread containing the info about the Airport concerned.

I think this would be a more appropriate home than FAQ's.

I have a feeling it's a lot easier to do than that, but I can't seem to find the old guide that we wrote on how to populate the guides section......

Cheers
