Anyone else getting spam from lily07?

This is something we take seriously, and have done everything we can to try and stop. We haven't had any problems that we know of for ages.

We have locked the account, but I would ask that you either post or PM details of the spam to me, or one of the other mods.

For everyone's information. Pete has done his best to fix the loophole that the spammer used to send mail.

If anyone else is bothered by these people - when the email appears to have come via V-Flyer - please let us know. Email moderator at V-Flyer.com

Spam is a big problem on the net, and we don't want this site being used to spread it.

I've just received a spam email via v-flyer from James33 (Ivory Coast) - will email [email protected] now.

Just emailed [email protected] but immediately received these two failure messages:

Hi James, You probably would have seen those bounces because (at least) two of the moderators mail servers would have recognised them as spam.

I did get your message, and working on it. Although I've plugged the PM spam route, they appear to be using 'send user an email' in an attempt to get their scum through. I'm going to plug that today too.

Ok, the email user feature on the site has been disabled. Given we have PMs (for members), the email feature was redundant anyway, and the only people who ever even tried to use it were spammers.

So, are you trying to tell me that I am not, in fact, going to enjoy a share of the US$6.5M, which was legitimately acquired by James's late father?

Surely you are going to help this poor (well not so poor if he has over ten million smackerooneys), misfortunate orphan? [:w]

It is a variation of the email that everyone else has got.

The sender took the time to send them one by one, personalising them as he did so. [V]

As Pete has said above, this avenue for the con artists has been removed, as usual a few idiots abusing the system mean that it is shut down for everyone. [:(!]

Having said that, if anyone does manage to acquire some of the many millions of dollars that are obviously being invested out of the Ivory Coast, don't forget your mates on V-Flyer. [8D][:I]:D

There is a way everyone can help fight these scamers.

The website is down right now, but give it a little while and all will be right with the world [?] go take a look and see how you can help, it basically works like a denial of service, these site put up pretty professional looking websites but use a host with limited bandwidth, once their bandwidth is used the host shuts them down, by targeting known scam sites you can do your small part to help fight these scumbags.

Also take a look here for another of these "vampires"...I do love sucking the life out of these guys
