We have discussed this before, but I think it was in the Mods forum and at the social.

Due to the time of day, the theory that Pix has put forward is that the site got a mention on some media in the US, either radio or TV, resulting in a blip in interest.

Any other theories are welcome.

Oh ok. Yeah the site may well have got a mention. The weblogs may confirm that.
