This is a good article on copyright, fair use etc that might give users an idea when it's ok to cut and paste and when not.

Except that it refers to US copyright law. In the UK, 'fair use' is much more restricted.

Fair use in UK

Best policy is not to copy/paste articles, just link to them. [;)]

Thanks for the link, I will move it out of the Virgin Atlantic forum to the V-Flyer website forum.

Our forum rules have stood for 5 years now, and we haven't had a problem with them.

The purpose of posting links instead of cutting and pasting huge swathes of text from another website, is that it appears quite rude to take the work of original author for your own use - especially if you don't acknowledge the other site.

Also. This way, V-Flyer members can choose if they want to read the linked text or not.

It isn't just about the law, it is about general courtesy.
