Web site a bit bouncy today?

This MAY be just me, but I've tried on my other computer, and it appears the same.
Has anyone else noticed the site bouncing a bit today? - I've got a few "service unavailable" messages, "asp timeouts" and "server not responding" throughout this evening. To rule out my connection, other sites seem OK, but I'm aware it could just be me

:D
Is anyone else seeing similar messages today?

Yes, me too

Could be a busy day, or the site host may be doing stuff with the server. A refresh or two normally solves it.

A couple for me too but nothing that I would worry about,

It certainly seems slower than usual, Paul... It may be something to do with the server switch that Pete has been planning.

Yep seems slower today, don't know if it's anything to do with it but the rollover ad returned on my comp today (is that to do with cookies or something?).

Mine seems okay, I haven't experienced any problems, and the rollover ad disapeared last week, thank god.
Edit: Forgot, actually, I have noticed that posting new messages and changes has been taking more time, usually it's "waiting for v-flyer.com".

I just got an ASP timeout error when posting to Forum, looks like there is a problem somewhere..

I think it's a problem possibly caused by the growing size of the database behind the forums. I'll archive off some of the older posts to see if that improves the situation.
BTW, the rollover ad should be going tomorrow (Monday)

Apologies to anyone browsing in the last 15 minutes or so. I've been archiving & compacting the database. Since doing that I've not seen any timeouts, so fingers crossed it has improved the speed of the forums.

Cool - thanks Pete [y]:D
If this one posts without a "service unavailable" message, you've fixed it....
IT DID! - Back in business

May be just me, but it's been a bit jumpy again for the past hour or so. Are we on another record evening, perhaps...?
("service unavailable" and "database/network error" pages being displayed)

It's not just you, Paul.
It was fine for me earlier on, but it has gone down hill fast since I came back. [V]

Hmm - everything seems a lot better all of a sudden...
(perhaps it was Sean trying to get in that crashed it...

:D[:p] - just kidding! [:o)] )

Same for me - and it wasn't the number of visitors to the site as I scrolled down and there were only 20. All the associated sites like V-Tool also seemed to be affected.
Thank goodness we seem to be back to normal

Just goes to show how we all need our daily V-Flyer "fix";)

Is very slow tonight - not been online long after a late conference call, only V-F running slow for me, and it's quite painful [:(]
I'd press a few buttons in the admin section, but I'd rather wait for Pete to get back - who knows what might happen?

Cheers
