Yup, I've been tinkering again :)

I moved the banner out of the header and stuck it as a link in the main forums area. Still haven't decided what looks best yet - but no doubt I'll still be tinkering with it for ages yet :)

The keen-eyed amongst you will have noticed that banner ads are now playing on VirginFlyer. Sorry about commercialism rearing its ugly head, but we've become a victim of our own success - the amount of traffic we're getting has gone way through the roof in recent months (not that I'm complaining!), and banners have been added in order to support the running cost of that extra traffic.

BTW, if you normally book your VS flights direct on the VS website, the very best way (ironically) to contribute to VirginFlyer is to follow the Virgin banner link to do that. Every little helps, and is very much appreciated!

Pix,

any chance of getting a banner to virgin travelstore that'll also earn you some well deserved funding? Having discovered it today I'm kicking myself for all those miles I could of earned booking my flights through it over the last 6 months! [}:)]

Pix - r u paid per click through? If so I'll happily click though each visit. Normally don't bother with them but if it helps sponsor...

Some are, some aren't.

The Google Ads are click thrus, some of the banner ads are just 'per thousand' and some are 'per action' (ie, if you buy something). I've put a footer at the bottom of the page for the 'action' type, so if you need anything from those guys, following those links means VirginFlyer gets a kick back.

Ta very much for the support. ;)

Hey Pix,

I think it's a great idea and a good way to raise a little extra cash.

Good call :)
