Just a short TR.

My folks are out visiting Oz so popped up to Sydney to spend w/e with them there.

Checked in online, selected our seats and printed out boarding cards the day before. Arrived at airport an hour before flight, not as much traffic as we were expecting, and with no bags to check breezed through security and down towards the gate to get a coffee. Did notice though that the Bag Drop queue was twice as big as the Check In queue.

Have not joined the Lounge as can't really justify the cost as only fly DJ for leisure and would stuggle to spend that amount on food and drink with such short waiting times at the airport.

Flight was called at 0950 and as they were only boarding via the jetway we were to be boarded by seat row. We were in 29 E & F on a boeing 738 and were called first - and for only the second time ever - witnessed gate staff turning back passengers who were not seated in the rows called [^]. Again greeted by first name at the door.

A full flight but we left on time and safety procedures run through. But being DJ they injected some humour into it - as it was a no smoking flight it was pointed out that those who needed to smoke during the flight should go out onto the wing where 'if they could light it they could smoke it'.[:D]

A standard run of the mill flight arrived slighty behind schedule and deplaned through the jetway only as it was raining in Sydney.

One thing that stood out was that there were no announcements from the flight deck.
