I flew Ryanair and you know what???

Arrived into LGW south term on the 28th Dec to find queues forming in every orifice of the airport. My heart sank as we pushed our way through the Thomas cook and alike poeple on their winter jollies. However as we spotted the Ryanair check in desk I was gobsmacked. No one waiting to check in for the Dublin flight. The check in girl was poilte and even jolly and with only passports to show it was over and done in less than 2 minutes. A big[y]
BAA security line was massive so nipped up stairs to the second entrance which was.... massive. 1 hr to get through. A quick breakie in Garfunkels and it was off to the boarding gate. Now virgin need to take a look at Ryanairs boarding proceedures. They were perfect. Families with kids and pre paid first followed by sequence number. As we had jnr we were first on.
The aircraft was a new 738 which was spotless inside. After the intial shock of the bright yellow cabin and plastic seat backs we all settled down no problem in row 3. Leg room was ok especially for a 1hr flight and what did help was there was no seat pocket to intrude and no one can recline their seats. No problem with either of these. Departure was 25mins late due to pax being delayed through secutity. Once in the cruise the crew where round with the cart. The selection was quite good if you wanted a snack, and I for one do not mind paying if it is something I want rather than the shocking crap you get on BA or similar. The chcken tikka wrap looked quite nice as well.
Buggy was waiting at the bottom of the stairs when we got off. So top marks from me.
The return flight from Shannon was equally as good so would I use them again? Absolutely.
Also whilst waiting in SNN G-Far was doing circiuts. Always nice to see a virgin aircraft on your travels[:)]
