V-Flyer

After spending a week based in London covering for my boss who's off sick, I decided to sample the delights of London City on the way home.

Caught a cab from Stratford at 0715 and got to the rather pleasant LCY terminal 15 mins later. We boarded from gate 7 at 0830 for an 0840 departure and had a takeoff slot at 0856.

The fun began then as our 146 did a mini sprint to the easterly end of the runway and spun around. The pilot then wound the 4 little Garrets right up against the brakes and 'launched' ! Yee ha!!

A hot breakfast was served shortly after we levelled out and arrival in Edinburgh was a slightly delayed 1020.

I'm looking forward to trying a landing at LCY as, I believe it's equally entertaining!!
