This flight followed our VS003 flight from LHR, so a long day of travel for us...

The flight was absolutely full so I checked in 24hours ahead, as soon as on-line check-in opened. We had purchased these tickets in Nov and got a really great deal, so when offered to upgrade to E+ for $44 each we jumped on the chance, and snagged the last aisle/middle combo available. As our VS flight was on-time we arrived at LGA by 1pm and enquired about an earlier flight. We were told all UA flights to DEN were oversold for the next few days.

We had lunch at Figs and killed some time before heading through security (line was fairly short) and going to our gate. Were at the gate in time to see chaos ensuing on the 3:55pm flight to DEN, with people lining up to try to get seats, people getting bumped, etc., and were glad we had checked in well in advance.

Despite a packed flight and more manuevering with bumped passengers, etc, our flight pulled from the gate exactly on-time. Short wait for take-off and we were on our way.

Legroom was good in E+, definitely worth the extra $44 each.

Not too much to report from in-flight service. Casino Royale was the film, but I didn't watch it as the screen was fairly far away. Snack boxes were available for purchase, but we didn't want any. Pretzels and drinks were distributed.

Fairly bumpy flight and at one point the seatbelt sign went on and as it was turned on the captain told all flight crew to take their jump seats immediately, so we knew we were in for some big bumps. I don't love turbulence, so it was a little hairy for me, but actually not as bad as expected given the warnings.

We had a pretty bumpy landing and then waited to be pulled into a gate as we arrived early.

Can't really think of what else to report on....so I guess that's all.
