Sorry for the delay in getting this done! As it is very hot outside I thought I'd have a beer and do the last leg of my journey.

We arrived at terminal 2F by bus from our flight from LHR, we walked to where you transfer terminals by bus, it took no more than 3 min walk, where you wait for your bus to transfer you. We waited about 5-10mins, there were some people flying on to JFK who seemed to be in a hurry, as we made sure we had plenty of time (3.5hrs) to allow for any delays, we weren't overally worried. The bus arrived and we got on and it took a further 10mins to reach our terminal 2C. We had to go through security which didn't take too long, and we headed for the AF lounge, the lounge is very big, and a lot nicer than the LHR, there were sarnies, and all sorts of drinks, from Bollinger to soft drinks. Strangest thing is there wasn't any tonic? No real drama, I had Gin and Sprite! Went equally as well. We had a wander through the terminal, nothing really special the same duty free shops, we bought some Dom champers thinking it would be cheaper to get it in France/Pari, but it wasn't. However I wanted to get some for my birthday. Before too long they were calling the flight, we had a gate change from C83 to C89, we made our way to the boarding scrum, and joined a line in hope we were in the correct lane, there was a lady checking boarding passes, and turning people away, I assumed we were in the J Class line, there was no signage to say where to line, it was rather disorganised. We got to the front of the line, and my boarding pass went through, and bleeped, I knew there was a problem, as she had to re-issue my boarding pass, as I thanked her, and walked to the air bridge, I noticed that my seat had been changed to 6A, and V-Monkey was 4K, I went back and queried this with the lady (who was very lovely) and she closed the line, and took me over to a desk, where an MK lady took my boarding pass as I explained our problem. She first advised that they had to move us due to a family, when I said this wasn't good enough, and advised that we had this booked since 26th July, she then adivsed that our orignal seats had no IFE. After about 10mins explaining that she needed to sort the problem out, as I am not sitting 2 rows and a galley from my partner, she shrugged, and advised that we sort it out on the plane. She wasn't very helpful, so gave up and boarded the aircraft. One the air bridge, it splits in to 2, one for Y pax, and the other for J class (there wasn't any 1st on this aircraft) We were greeted by a very friendly FA, and we explained our situation, he asked us to sit in our seats until everyone was on board, I sat in 4L, and V-Monkey went off to 6A, there were a lot of families in J Class, and didn't fancy sitting in the main J Class cabin, as I wanted some sleep. A lady arrived at my seat, and the lovely FA explain the situation, and she was happy to move to 6A. I thanked her very much, and we finally got our seats.

There was a delay in closing the doors, and we were just over an hour late leaving Paris, in our seat was an amenity pack, containing the normal, socks, eye shades, toothbrush/paste, clairns eye cream, and a dust bag for your shoes. We were offered papers, and a pre flight champers, which we both duly took! [y] The IFE wasn't AVOD, as I was expecting this, the movies were ok, but nothing to rave about. Service on the flight was very good, but I found it to be slightly slow, I did have to call my call button, 3 times before they came (seat belt sign was on so couldn't get out of my seat.) However the staff were always polite and friendly. We had a lovely lunch, with lamb as the main, it was perfectly cooked. One thing I noticed that the lovely french bread they serve isn't warm, which is a real shame.

Soon after lunch, they turned the lights off, and I reclined my seat in to it's 'bed' position, it isn't completely lie flat, and I didn't have anything to rest my feet on to stop me sliding down. I did however find a comfortable position, and had a good few hours sleep, I woke up rather thirsty, and they have an area they have drinks and snacks, I had some water, and a sarnie, and went back to my seat. We were served breakfast about 1.5hrs from MRU, which was an omlete with mushroom sauce, and fresh fruit and pastries. It was OK, I didn't feel like too much to eat at that time of the morning.

We were soon on our descent in to MRU, we had made up good time, and landed only 15mins late. We were soon at our stand, and J Class were allowed off first, they held back Y Class. Which was great, as we entered the Immigration hall there were about 20 desks all manned and we were seen straight away. Went through to collect our bags, and had to wait about 20 or so mins for the bags to arrive, most of the priority bags came out first had been loaded in CDG, once the bags were out we went to find our driver for the 1.5hrs drive to the hotel. From the stand to the car, it took about 40mins. I was rather glad that our bags made it, and weren't sitting in Paris still!

Sorry for the long TR, I tried to capture as much detail as possible as there wasn't any AF TR's on here (well not many anyway).

Thanks for reading,
Dominic
