V-Flyer

Well my third trip report - and guess what BA again....I do have some VS flights coming up at the end of this month that I promise to do a report oN!

This was a work related trip and first time to Lisbon and Portugal. The flight out was pretty unremarkable although a little delayed and then they only had 3 minature bottles of champagne for Club(although they did then open a full size bottle to keep those of us having a tipple happy![8D]).

The return flight was far too early in my books - 0825 in the morning! After an early start and the typical Lisbon hair-raising taxi ride to the airport. Already checked in, so a quick bag drop and then through security. None of the liquids out of bags there! Brief shopping trip - there isn't that much to buy there, then off to the Air France lounge that BA use. Flight at 0825 and got to the lounge at 0735. Rather unhelpful AF person on the desk simply stated that boarding had commenced, there was a 20 minute wait at passport control and then a 10 minute walk to the gate....so NOT allowed in[n]. Accepted that and walked off to passport control - 6 desks open and NO-ONE waiting....followed by at max a 5 minute walkm meaning a long wait at the gate to get on board. [V] made even worse since there is only one desk and all of EuroTraveller was boarding.

Once on board, noticed same as on the outbound. Crew chatting at the front and not asking anyone if they wanted jackets hung up - not often that I travel in a suit, but this time I was. In the end I managed to attract someone attention and then have it hung up. Flight was fairly unremarkable apart from the tut from the cabin crew when I took a roll AND a danish pastry from the selection[n]. Arrived on time, managed to use Iris with no queue and then off to wait for the bags. And wait....and wait....and then the priority bags came off after the majority of non-priority bags.

Have to say the flight was ok and managed to get quite a bit of work done which was good, but it just wasn't that great - the service was def not up to the standard on my other 2 trip reports on BA.....may be the staff had been out and had a bit of a late night the day before[;)]
