And what can I say about the return flight...

- still no statue of John Smeaton at the airport

- not a bad airport to travel from. Ben and Jerry's in small tubs from a vending machine (though some of it ended up down my tie)

- 737 instead of the Fokker. Leather seats, reasonable leg room inside and all clean and tidy, but looking at the wing it seems that the aircraft had seem some considerable service

- arrived late but departed on time

- seatback pocket contained a small leaflet promoting the environmentally conscious nature of Air Berlin in particular and airlines in general

- service offering of a soft drink and a corn based snack; bit like a Wotsit but with peanut rather than cheese (if you're allergic to peanuts, I'd avoid Air Berlin)

- still felt as peculiar to have the primary announcements in German..

- ..save for the fact that there were quite a few Germans on this flight who were connecting with a flight to Berlin. I got the impression that they might be getting back on the same aircraft.

- disembarkation at front and rear at Stansted, so off quickly.

- null points to Purple Parking for keeping me waiting. Not convinced I'll use them again as I can't claim the miles that were put on the car taking it to and returning it from their pound.

And I'll be doing it again next week...
