1.Flights below 1 hour (MAN/AMS) offer very basic food of either cheese crackers or chocolate biscuits. Bar is complimentary. Flight was a 737/300. Out and return both on time with good crew service.
2. On the AMS/BGO flight of 1.5 hours, the food consisted of fig and goats cheese and lamb and rosemary sandwiches. These were excellent and the return was equally good with full bar service. The flight was a 737/900 and the leg room was noticably better than the older aircraft.
3.The flight back from AMS was the last one to MAN and is notorious for being delayed due to cummulative delays during the day. This flight was 5 minutes early. Crew again were good.
From this snapshot, KLM do not seem to be showing any adverse effects from the merger.
