Hi - a business trip to Moscow. Flight is a BMI codeshare operated by Transaero so I thought worth a report....

Evening flight to Moscow, utilising BMI checkin and lounge and LHR. Checked in online so dropped bag off at an empty premium checkin, advised where the lounge was but that it is also a 10min walk to my departure gate. Went off to the lounge - was very adequet. No dinner service as this time but the snacks and drinks were plenty and couldnt complain.

No announcements in the lounge so walked to the gate when I was ready, most already boarded. Settled into 1G, coat taken and amenity back (socks, shoe horn, eye shades, shoe shine sponge??), slipper and champagne gladly accepted, along with the now free Evening Standrd.

Dinner orders were taken by the flight attendant, no menu but an extensive choice for a short flight. Drinks and canape (prawns), started TWO salads (chicken and a smoked fish platter) main of chicken and pasta and chocolates for dessert.

In flight entertainment was handed out, which had an adequet supply of movies on demand. Headphones were in ear el-cheapo ones though...

Lights off, blankets on a few minutes sleep and lights back on in preparation for the announcement that in 30mins we would hear an annoucement that we would be begining the decent in 20mins. Seriously. Just let me sleep a bit longer!

Uneventful rest of flight, with the usual health control at Moscow. Now the next part I really liked! We boarded from the back of the plane, so business off last. So I was already moaning to myself about the long queue at immigration. But whats this? A person at the bottom of the stairs with a sign saying 'business class'? And a minibus waiting? So into the minibus and driven round to immigration where they had held the bus with the econ passengers until after we reached passport control! Brilliant!

All in all a good flight. No issues with Transaero, and enjoyed what I can only imagine is a more old school bus class on a medium haul flight!
