So, after a whirlwind weekend to Copenhagen, where I visited Little Amsterdam, Freetown Christiania, Tivoli Gardens, enjoyed some lovely cocktails at a tiny bar called Frances Pony, swooned over the Danish lads, did a harbour cruise and had cake at arguably, Denmark's most famous bakery, Conditori La Glace, who have a lovely slogan. More on that later.

So, a wonderful weekend.

Copenhagen airport is probably my favourite airport in Europe, so far. It's so nice. It reminds me of Boston's Terminal E in many ways, with it's winning use of dark wood and abundance of places to eat, drink and shop. The coolest place, and therefore crammed is called Joe and The Juice. I will try it next time.

My flight was on time, and I had a strange satisfaction in getting Seq. 001 on my boarding card!

There was nothing too much to report about the flight - again, the plane was immaculate, I think it was an Airbus A320.

My previous 3 BA flights have been in Business Class, this one was in Economy.

I was in seat 6A, and the curtain was drawn. It may as well have been the Great Wall of China... beyond the curtain of dreams lay cutlery, hot meals, drinks and tier points. But not for me. Not this time.

BA in flight service was a drink (I asked for a JD&Coke and was told "I can give you a JD and Coke because this is the Business Class trolley, you won't normally get it") and a packet of Dormens snacks. xx(
The attendent mentioned to the passenger behind that "We're not allowed to serve peanuts anymore" so not sure if that's true or not.

Flight was uneventful, we landed early at T5 and I lingered a bit there to look at the planes before heading home.

Four BA flights in two months, I'll be silver at this rate. v(

So, La Glace. You can find out all about it here. Their slogan, and I think it's lovely is

Thanks Sealink, you clearly had a great trip. I agree it is torture sitting the wrong side of the curtain!

You do love your little jaunts away and WE do love the TR's you bring back. Never been to Denmark, that might have to change. As for BA I won't even get to sit on board their Euro flights anymore, let alone the wrong side of the curtain, since they will stop serving BEG at the end of this month.

Is Copenhagen expensive? I've heard Scandinavia is pretty wallet-sapping!

With their recent change to tier points, you do get a slightly better deal in EuroTraveller - 10 points rather than 5.....still not as good as 40 for Club Europe.

Norway was eye watering, Denmark isn't so bad - mainly because transport is very reasonable and there are always offers.

The little bar we went to was doing 2-4-1 cocktails till midnight - worked out at fiver each.

Good to hear - Stockholm is eye-wateringly expensive!
