V-Flyer

Following my flight from Newark, it was a quick dash across to T1 to catch my Bmi flight to Manchester.

I had two hours between flights but that went quickly. As a Star Alliance Gold card holder I was able to use the Bmi domestic lounge and I was the only one it, though the staff could not have been more welcoming.

Boarding started at 2140 and it did not take long for the 26 passengers to board the tiny embraer aircraft. Push back was at 2155 and then we got held up in the large queue for take off.

Take off finally came at 2215 and the 35mins flight passed quickly - no-one purchased anything on the flight though the single cabin crew member was very friendly.

Landed at a chilly Manchester at 2250 and quickly on stand and leaving the aircraft behind.

Bmi is not the airline it once use to be which is a great shame but at least they got me home which was good news, so will keep using them as long as they keep flying to Manchester.....
