1210 ORD-BOS 13 FEB 11 (COACH)

The first flight was ORD to BOS with AA. As I arrived at the airport I asked a AA rep if he could point me in the direction of the bag drop - he asked if I had checked in online (I had) and he told me he could issue my baggage tags there, which he did from a small machine in his hand. He then also took both bags for me, and I wasn't charged for either bag! I wasn't too sure if I should have been, but every previous internal flight I'd done on this trip (3 with jet blue 1 with Delta) I'd been charged for at least one checked in bag. Result and a great way to be greeted at the airport! The AA terminal at ORD (I think C?) is pretty big with a large selection of stands. A farewell to colleagues who were flying back to NYC over a margaritta at the Chilli's Margaritta bar seemed the best way to say our goodbyes!
A busy flight that was boarded on time, and landed slightly early. Soft drinks were also served. Once I'd collected my bags at BOS I decided that as I had two hours to pass before the VS check in opened, I would walk from terminal B to E. A sign told me it was about half a mile walk but I passed all sorts - a corridor over looking the apron that was lined with rocking chairs, an art display on loan from the art institute, another corridor where staff were queueing to get their staff passes... it was all going on! But duly, 15 minutes later I arrived at a closed and empty VS check in area, so I settled down to wait.
A perfectly fine internal flight.
