This was my last flight of the latest batch, and worryingly, I have no more flights planned for some time. I am sure something will turn up.

But let's go out with a bit of flair, Air France CityJet ScotAirways VLM style!

I had been with my brother in Perth - it's such a gorgeous part of the country, and had a myriad of travel options.

I decided to use the opportunity to support Cityjet and Dundee Airport.

Dundee Airport is such a cute little airport, seriously, it's lovely. Security took about 55 seconds, check in was easy ( I just needed a boarding card printed. With CityJet you do need photo ID even for domestic flights.)

The shop at the airport was quite expensive. A sandwich and a beer came to something like £7.50. This isn't London, folks! Get a grip!

I had plenty of time to take pictures of the departure lounge and another 'plane. (FlyBe is the other airline who serves Dundee).

We stayed at this height for most of the trip. In fact VegasCrazy was trying to track me using his FlightTracker app but couldn't pick us up - apparently we were too low!

The plane (a Fokker F50) was beige / brown inside so a bit dark, but the seat was fine. It was obviously an old plane and the colour scheme didn't serve it well.

However the staff were pleasant, I had the best inflight service and amentiies on a domestic flight in a long time!

Sweets before take off.

I think I started a run on the tonic as by the second drinks run there was none left. So, inspired by that bit in Fawlty Towers I ordered a Gin and Orange (but not a lemon squash or a scotch on the rocks).

Shortly afterwards we were offered pieces of Scottish tablet in CityJet wrapping. If you are unfamiliar with this sweet, here are the ingredients: sugar, condensed milk and butter.
It's like an intensely sweet crumbly fudge, and the little pieces offered where actually the perfect size.

So, CityJet: the finest domestic flight I have ever had. I will use you again. The price of the flight from Dundee was £91.00. This was cheaper than the train and most flights from Glasgow or Edinburgh.

It was then time just to enjoy the rest of that sunny Sunday evening. Landing at London City was fine, the sunset showing off this BA plane to fine effect:

Thanks for the TR, we did this for a wedding and I agree it was well worth the money.
