V-Flyer

After ti e relaxing and at my work conference, it was time to head back home. We drove from Just outside Kos town to the airport - this route is on the "main road" but the last bit goes up through the mountains and s fairly slow going. On arrival at the airport we dropped the car off (meaning park in car lark and leave keys under driver at and don't lock car).

Check area was busy - our desk (5) was hidden away - couldn't see it initially as it was hidden in a corner and there is also desk 5a and 5b! Check in quick and then through security - laptops and liquids left in bags here. Departure lounge is small - duty free shop and snack bar area. There is also an additional duty free shop upstairs and a restaurant (not open when we were there and the staff said "it might open today, although it might not!". There is also an area off to one side for those flights needing passport control.

Buses to the planes - a relatively new Dash 8m- still has that new plane/car smell. Short taxi and very short take-off. Large windows, so great views of the islands on way back to Athens. We were in row three - rows 1/2 were "premium economy" - empty given it was only a 40 minute flight! Drink and snack service during the flight. Landed ear and then taxi to the off terminal parking and bus back to the terminal. Overall a good flight and lovely way to see the islands.
