After 2 glorious weeks in Koh Samui it was time to head home :( :( .
We arrived at Koh Samui’s airport about an hour before departure and were able to check our bags through to LHR and go through international security y) .
We boarded and were soon in the air for our short 1 hour flight to BKK (Bangkok Airways Flight PG217). Even though it was only an hour we still received breakfast, consisting of Orange Juice, Water, some sandwiches & a dessert. All of which were very nice.
Once at BKK it was a little walk to a security screening then off to the departure area. BKK departures is massive and after working out where our gate was it was time to do a little duty free shopping :D . There were shops all the way to our gate, so time passed quickly.
Once at the gate we were boarding fairly quickly, priority boarding in place.
The flight was uneventful. I didn’t manage to get an empty seat next to me this time but I could easily get out without my neighbour having to move.
The flight from BKK to LHR was 12.5 hours and I didn’t get any sleep but did manage a film marathon of 6 movies :0 !
I don’t remember what the food was, but it must have been ok as if it was bad it would have stuck in my head.
Finally back at LHR. We got to immigration and started queuing . They only had 3 desks open!! I’m in the process on renewing my passport so hopefully next time I won’t need to queue.
Luggage collected, through customs and out to T3 departure drop-off to find our driver. Then off home.

I would happily fly EVA Air again to keep costs down.

Vince
