V-Flyer

Took advantage of check in upgrade - basic flight paid for by someone else. Underground out - perfectly on time which was nice. Although I had taken advantage of the upgrade I was apparently checked into both 1A and 4C in Euro Traveller. Quick trip to reservations needed to sort.

Short time in lounge - still had breakfast out when I got there. Caught up on some e-mails before a slightly delayed boarding came up. All on board on time but delayed pushback once doors shut due to storms around LHR. Hot towels and water served in club before take off.

Long taxi from T5 to other end of LHR to take off. Very bumpy climb before the seat belt signs came off. Lunch today was a cold chicken salad - not too bad. Served with a nice glass of champagne.

Short flight and gradual descent to Munich airport. Long taxi after landing as it is a huge airport. Immigration and luggage all very efficient and on time (baggage belt had a count down timer on it).  

All in all a good flight - catering probably ok for a short flight but hot meal would have been nicer.

I travel through MUC quite regulary and it is one of my favourite airports. Nice and simple.

I'm not sure that BA does hot meals for the short hopsn but I agree that it would be nice to have something other than salmon or a salad.
