B6 117 JFK-MSY 30 MAR 13 (ECONOMY)

Flight time: 2h 45m
Take-off Runway: 31L
Seats: 3A&B
After a night at the Hampton Inn JFK, we jumped on the shuttle bus for our 6.55am flight down to New Orleans.
We arrived at T5 about 90 minutes before the flight. It was very busy, but we cleared check in and security in about 25 minutes which isn't too bad by US standards. There are also no checked bag fees on JetBlue (1 bag per passenger).
T5 is an excellent terminal, with loads of amenities and free wi-fi. We grabbed a bite for brekkie and then headed to the gate for boarding.
The Embraer 190 doesn't have as much leg space as the A320, but still has the free TV's and a better (for couples) 2-2 config. We didn't bother with 'Even More Space' on a relatively short sector, as the standard seats were sufficient.
The captain made a pre-departure announcement from the front of the cabin, which is a nice touch, and then we were away on time on a sunny clear NYC morning.
Service was the usual JetBlue free drinks/snacks from the friendly member of cabin crew. The flight was very uneventful and pretty smooth. I watched some Homeland on my iPad, and had a snooze. Before long we were on approach to a sunny and warm New Orleans.
We arrived about 40 minutes early, bags were out fairly promptly.
In summary, this was another good JetBlue flight which 'did exactly what it says on the tin'.
