SW1548 LAX-LAS 6 MAY 13 (COACH)
Posted: 17 May 2013, 19:41OLCI completed at T-24 and had boarding pass number B15, (they auto check you in at T-36 if you pay extra) But as it was a short flight we weren't bothered
Arrived at LAX and dropped the bags at the SW self service bag drop, which was quick, security looked like a zoo. but as we joined the back of the queue we were taken off to a side door which they had just opened to relieve the queues, so through within 5 mins.
Found the departure gate and saw that the flight would be a bit late due to a late inbound aircraft but only by about 30 mins and with only a 45min flight who cares !
Plane arrived and boarding commenced within 15 minutes, we all stood in the queue by number on the boarding pass, which meant we’d be towards the end boarding the plane. Free seating is the name of the game with SW so we found a row of 3 towards the back and managed to have the row to the 2 of us.
Boarding was completed quick, doors closed and off we went. The crew announced that the flying time to LAS was only 45 mins so the drinks would be served quickly.
Drinks were served, but before we finished them the crew announced we were beginning our descent so if you haven’t finished your drinks (in an american accent) “ get chugging cos we all gonna be off this plane soon”
10 mins later we were on the ground, no immigration and on the monorail to baggage claim. Bags were already there when we reached it, and into a taxi for the quick drive to the hotel
First time with SW and no complaints, flight was quick, a quick drinks service was all that the flight allowed and the crew certainly lived up to the SW reputation.
