Our second flight with SW in 4 days. OLCI @ T-24 and this time managed B4, so boarding would be a bit nearer the front of the queue.

Dropped off at the SW doors @ LAS, bags were taken from us by the kerb side staff, and we were taken straight to the kerb side check in desk. ID shown and baggage receipts given, bags onto belt and we walked into the terminal. All took no more than 2-3 minutes marvelous.

Up to security which looked very busy but all the lanes were open so the queue kept moving. Took about 15 mins to get through so not too bad.

Knowing there would be just a drinks service on board we had a quick meal in the airport, and then they called boarding. Stood in the queue expecting 4 people to be ahead of me but there were more. So someone was trying to jump the queue. An American passenger behind me twigged, and walked forward and asked them what numbers they had, 2 of them said “it’s ok south west don't mind what number you board”, “i do - he said so get your ass to the back of the queue where you should be” (again say it in an American accent). :D :D :D y)

Boarding commenced which was quick and in no time we were airborne. 4 hr flight ahead and no IFE on this SW flight, but you could use your laptop/tablet etc and buy the IFE for $4 or use the onboard WiFi for $8. I used my iPad and connected to the front page where it shows the flight map and also where you can pay for the WiFi and movies if you want them, and suddenly i got some updates for my sky news app and also for a couple of game apps i have, which only work when connected to the internet.

Somehow without paying i was getting some sort of access although when i tried the browser and email it didn't work. I was able to read sky news and also play a few games and they all updated ok.

There were several drink services and nuts/pretzels served throughout the flight. No main food served but there were items that could be bought if necessary. Quite a few pax had brought their own and several were eating subways and someone even had a McDonalds’ !!

Flight suffered from several bouts of turbulence but nothing major and the seat belt light stayed on for most of it, which kept the cabin quiet. Although the flight was 4 hrs it didn't seem it and in no time we were landing in MCO. The seats although coach where very comfortable and also had more leg room than Y on VS, so overall a very good and comfortable flight.

Bags were waiting for us when we arrived at the carousel, again no immigration, and we were in the hire car and on our way within 20mins of landing

My second flight with SW and i have to say i like them as an airline, yes its basic, but crew are good at their jobs, flight cost is quite low ($49 for LAX-LAS & $69 for LAS-MCO and no change fees when i had to change one of the dates.) 2 free bag as your allowance and a good on time service) will defiantly be using them again for internals in the USA.

This second flight with SW confirms what eveyone says about this low cost airline and your experience is something others should keep in mind for the future y)

Cheeky blighter at the boarding queue - glad he was stopped :D

That is very good news and coupled with the realtively low cost for wifi, SW does look worth considering

Thanks once again

Sw sounding like a very positive option for internal flights...look like some very reasonable fares ^)
