VS076 MCO-MAN 5 FEB 14 (ECONOMY)

This was simple, staff could have been a bit friendlier, cases were weighed, tagged and loaded into a van. We were issued with our boarding passes, not informed that our seats had been reallocated until my husband questioned this and was told the flight was virtually empty and she was right only 108 passengers onboard Jersey Girl this time.
Arrived at MCO with plenty of time to go, went straight through security then to Gate 83. Nothing much at the airport and no real shopping opportunities once we had left the main terminal building.
The flight was late arriving which resulted in a delay of approximately 30minutes.
The flight began boarding with immobile passengers first, then upper class and premium followed by parents with young children.
We were located on rows 48ABC which was right next to the catering area........very noisy. We were told we could move after take off as there was pretty much a row for everyone. Fantastic.
Once we were airborne we made our way to rows 54 and 55 DEFG there was infact one row per passenger.
My son was quickly served his inflight meal which was chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and some broccoli, a brown bread roll, carrots and cucumber with a ranch dressing and a chocolate dessert.
I tried some and it was pretty tasty.
The meal option for us was Beef in a red wine sauce with mash and vegetables, hubby had this but it came with wedges so I opted for the Chicken Tikka Massala with Basmati rice, the vegetarian option was Pasta in a cheese sauce.
A Gu dessert was later brought around and we were offered tea or Hot Chocolate.
No inflight snack later as it was a night flight and all the lights were turned down. Juice and water was reguarly offered during the flight, I settled down to watch Captain Phillips and then caught up on the Coronation Street I had missed over the past fortnight!
Approxiately 90 minutes prior to landing we were given a snack box with a blueberry muffin, Nature Valley Oat and Honey Bar and a fresh OJ. Tea and Coffee was also offered.
I much prefer that the hot drinks are served in takeout cups rather than the fiddly cup and saucer that used to be used.
The staff were again helpful and attentive throughout the flight. VERA was accommodating throughout and we even arrived early.
