I just picked up a Harmony 880.For those in the UK it is the 895 I think

This thing is amazing, it has taken the place of 6 remotes, is easy to set up and is rechargeable.

You can find them on Amazon for around half the price of the high street shops.

[y][y][y][y][y] a solid 5 thumbs up from me.

The 880 is the 885 in the UK. The 890 is the 895. The difference between the UK/US models is the addition of the coloured teletext buttons for the european market.
The difference between the 885 and the 895 is that the 895 also includes a wireless function and a wireless repeater, meaning you can either use the remote from anywhere in the house (if you have, for example, a video sender to watch your telly upstairs), or if you prefer to hide away all your AV components, you can stick them into a cupboard with the wireless repeater. The 895 is also "Z-Wave" compatible, meaning it can control lights and other things, although availability of ZWave is very limited in UK.
I have the 895. It rocks. Really... great! I replaced a Philips RC9800i which I only had for 2 weeks before selling it on eBay. It cost twice as much, but drove me mad.
Pixmania do a good deal on the Logitech remotes. I paid £155 for mine.

Nice, but it looks a little too much like my cordless phone. I'd be for ever trying to change channels with the phone

Thanks Scally, ok so it's the 885, why companies insist on doing this is beyond me, why add the 5, just to confuse poor little me ?

Anyhoots, I love this thing, it has made life so much easier.

I agree - looks like a phone. Snazzy though.

I'm happy with my Marantz RC2000II [www.smr-home-theatre.org/Reviews/Marantz/]

They added the 5 to designate that it's got 4 coloured "teletext" buttons. The 880/890 models had "up/down" buttons that you could assign to whatever you wanted in their place. :)
But yes, not well documented. In fact I thought Logitech's website was a little poor in terms of giving you the info you need to make a purchasing decision ... especially when these things are damn expensive for what is basically a remote control.
One of these is still quite a bit cheaper than a Pronto though. And I really didnt like the way that pretty much all the controls on the RC9800i were on the touchscreen. It makes a big difference having hard coded buttons, on a device you can use with one hand. Much easier for channel surfing when you're being a couch potato.
